Boston area native Paul Carroll moved to New York City for one reason - to become a designer. In the fall of 1999, Carroll introduced his first deluxe ready-to-wear collection.
Carroll’s collections feature cocktail and evening dresses in addition to beautifully tailored suits and sportswear. The designer prides himself on his commitment to quality workmanship, sumptuous fabrics, luxurious detail, and innovative design.
Creating a recognizable style and a language as a designer has been Carroll’s goal from the very beginning. Inspiration for the collections can come from anywhere; favorite films and books, a museum visit or even the streets.
Carroll sees the entire world as a code and the job of a designer is to decode that world; taking things from it that he likes which are fresh and new, and reinterpreting them into clothing with something to say.
In addition to selling at Massimo Bizzocchi in NYC’s Meatpacking District, Style at Schultz in Millburn, NJ, and to a discerning private clientele, Carroll’s designs have appeared on TV screens for ABC’s General Hospital & All My Children, NBC’s Another World, CBS’s Guiding Light and a host of red carpet events. His clients include famous soap opera stars such as Susan Lucci, Kim Zimmer, and Joan Collins. These actresses have caused a buzz around Carroll’s dresses attracting the attention of WWD, Brides Magazine, and many publications covering the daytime Emmy Awards
